Jenny Alzate LPC — Integrative Psychotherapist
Integrative Psychotherapy · Connecticut

You’ve talked about it.
You understand it.
But you still don’t
feel different.

Maybe you’ve been in therapy before. You understand where your patterns came from. You know why you react the way you do.

Maybe you’re ready for a different way of healing.

Beyond understanding

Therapy can go
deeper than talking.

And yet, anxiety still takes over. Your body still holds tension. Depression returns. You’re exhausted from chronic stress or burnout. Old experiences continue to affect your relationships, your choices, or the way you feel about yourself.

Or maybe life has changed—and you’re having a hard time accepting where you are now.

Understanding your story matters.

But healing isn’t only about understanding what happened. It’s also about recognizing how your experiences can continue to live within your body, nervous system, emotional responses, relationships, and the protective patterns you developed along the way.

I practice Integrative Psychotherapy, an individualized approach that allows me to work with the whole person—not simply a diagnosis or collection of symptoms. I may integrate traditional psychotherapy with trauma-informed care, somatic experiencing, nervous-system regulation, parts work, inner-child work, mind-body medicine, mindfulness, and other approaches selected around your individual needs.

And for those who desire it, there is also room for spirituality, intuition, meaning, and energetic awareness to be part of the healing process.

You don’t have to separate the different parts of who you are when you enter the therapy room.

I make room for all of you.

A place to recognize yourself

Does any of this
feel familiar?

Maybe you’ve been carrying more than anyone knows.

You’ve done therapy before, but something still feels stuck.

You understand your past intellectually, but your body and emotional responses seem to tell another story.

You’re living with anxiety that never completely turns off.

Your mind is constantly anticipating, analyzing, planning, worrying, or trying to maintain control.

You’ve been functioning in survival mode for so long that it has become normal.

Chronic stress, responsibility, caregiving, work, or simply holding everything together has left you depleted.

Depression keeps pulling you away from yourself.

You may feel disconnected, unmotivated, emotionally flat, overwhelmed, or unable to access the person you know is still inside you.

Something happened that changed you.

Trauma, loss, betrayal, heartbreak, or another overwhelming experience continues to affect your present life.

Your childhood may be over, but some of its patterns are not.

People-pleasing, perfectionism, abandonment fears, difficulty trusting, over-functioning, emotional reactivity, or feeling that you are never quite enough may have roots much deeper than the present moment.

Life has changed, and you’re struggling to accept what is.

A relationship ended. Someone died. Your children are growing. Your identity is changing. A chapter closed before you were ready.

Or maybe nothing is dramatically “wrong.”

You simply know that you want to understand yourself more deeply, feel more connected to your life, and experience healing in a way that honors your mind, body, and spirit.

Therapy can be a proactive way to care for your well-being, build resilience, and make space for growth.

The whole person

A different
way of healing.

There is no single therapy technique that fits every person.

That’s why my work is integrative.

Rather than asking you to fit yourself into one model, I draw from different therapeutic approaches based on who you are, what you’ve experienced, what your nervous system needs, and what I learn about you through your therapy.

Traditional Psychotherapy

Making sense of your experiences, emotions, relationships, beliefs, and patterns.

Somatic & Nervous-System Work

Becoming aware of how stress and trauma show up in the body and developing greater capacity for regulation, safety, and emotional processing.

Parts & Inner-Child Work

Understanding the protective parts of you that developed for a reason—and helping them find new ways of being.

Mind-Body Medicine

Exploring the relationship between emotional experience, physical sensations, stress, lifestyle, and overall well-being.

Mindfulness & Presence

Learning to notice what is happening within you without immediately becoming consumed by it.

Spiritual & Energetic Exploration

For clients who resonate with this dimension, I can also make space for spirituality, intuition, energy, meaning, and connection.

Clinical care remains the foundation. The work expands from there.

Ways to work together

One integrative approach.
Different ways to begin.

Healing doesn’t always fit neatly into a traditional 50-minute hour.

Depending on what you’re experiencing, where you are in your healing, and how deeply you want to work, I offer different ways to create the therapeutic space you need.

01 / Ongoing support

Weekly Integrative Psychotherapy

50–120 minutesWeekly sessions

Consistent individual psychotherapy for people seeking support with trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, relationships, life transitions, or deeper personal growth. These sessions are provided in increments of 50 min to 120 min, on a weekly basis.

My work with you is focused on your needs today, and may incorporate different therapeutic modalities over time.

Psychotherapy
Intensives

Starting at $1,2006 hours & beyond

Sometimes you need more time.

Intensives provide an extended, immersive therapeutic experience that allow me to support you at a thoughtful pace and devote concentrated attention to an issue (past or present) that may be difficult to fully explore within a traditional therapy hour. Intensives start at six hours, with additional time available based on your needs. The experience may take place in one visit or be split across visits, on weekdays or weekends.

Your intensive is individually designed around your needs rather than following a rigid protocol.

Groups, Circles &
Therapeutic Experiences

Healing can also happen in connection.

Groups and therapeutic experiences provide opportunities for shared learning, emotional healing, nervous-system regulation, personal growth, and meaningful connection with others.

Offerings may include therapeutic groups, healing circles, workshops, and other integrative experiences.

Therapy and emotional wellness aren’t only for moments of crisis.

Preventative stress-management experiences are designed to help individuals and groups recognize stress earlier, strengthen nervous-system resilience, develop practical mind-body tools, and create healthier ways of navigating demanding lives.

The person behind the practice

Hi, I’m Jenny.

I’m Jenny Alzate, LPC, a licensed professional counselor, trauma therapist, and integrative psychotherapist.

Over the years, I became increasingly interested in a question:

Why can someone understand so much about themselves and still feel stuck?

That question changed the way I practice psychotherapy.

I began looking beyond insight alone and more deeply into trauma, the nervous system, the body, protective parts, emotional patterns, mind-body medicine, and the many ways lived experiences continue to affect the whole person.

I also believe in this work from a deeply human place.

More about what shapes my work

I understand healing from both sides of the therapeutic relationship—the clinician helping someone navigate their story and the person willing to look inward, confront old patterns, and continue becoming.

That experience has shaped the therapist I am today.

My work is clinical and evidence-informed, but deeply human.

There is room here for science and intuition.

For psychology and spirituality.

For talking and silence.

For understanding what happened and noticing what is happening inside your body right now.

For compassion and accountability.

For softness and strength.

Healing doesn’t have to require abandoning any part of yourself.

A conversation is a beginning

You Don’t Need to Know Exactly Where to Begin.

You may know precisely what you want to work on. Or you may simply know: I don’t want to keep feeling this way. That is enough of a place to begin.

I’ll take time to understand what you’re experiencing, what you’ve already tried, what you’re hoping will change, and whether ongoing integrative psychotherapy, an intensive, a group experience, or another level of support may be right for you.

Your healing does not have to look like anyone else’s. Let’s begin with you.
